Kim Scheihing

MS English and Literature

Mrs. Scheihing graduated from Edinboro University of Pennsylvania with a degree in Secondary English Education.

She has been married to her husband Mark for 2o years and they have 5 children. She took 13 years off of teaching to stay home with the kids, but she is super excited to be back in the classroom now that they are all in school full-time.

I have a chaotic life filled with kids’ sporting events and activities, but in my free time I love to bake and read. My favorite thing about teaching is spending time with the kids and enjoying the laughter they bring to class every day.

Mrs. Scheihing’s classroom motto is to “Choose Joy” and her goal is to be an example of that to all of her students.  She loves to find creative ways to teach her subjects so if you walk by her room it wouldn’t be unusual to see students in groups acting out historical events, taking on the voices of characters in a story, or debating whether a political figure from the past made a good decision. Mrs. Scheihing is  so thankful to be a part of PHCS!
